Italian Bolognese

Ingredients
1tspButter
1tspOlive Oil
1smallCarrot (minced)
1celeryStalk (minced)
1/4redOnion (minced)
2clovesGarlic (minced)
1/3lbsGround Beef Higher Fat
1/3lbsItalian Sausage
2/3cRoasted Tomatoes
10ozTomato Sauce
5ozFire Roasted Tomatoes
2tspsButter
3ozWhole Milk
GlugWhite Wine
1/2tspFish Sauce
1smallBay Leaf
Preparation
  1. Heat oven 425F
  2. Cut and clean and dice 2 Roma tomatoes drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Roast in oven for 20 minutes until soft and charred in spots. Remove from oven and set aside.
  4. Dutch oven heat medium high heat with butter and oil and add carrots, celery and onion. Sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  6. Add beef and sausage using potatoes masher to combine and add all additional ingredients.
  7. Stir to combine and simmer for the afternoon.
  8. Remove bay leaf.
  9. Serve with fresh pasta, garlic bread and green beans.
