All Day Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
2x28ozCans Crushed Tomatoes
1x28ozCan Tomato Purée
1x6ozCan Tomato Paste
1TblSugar
1 1/2tspsSalt
1/2tspBlack Pepper
1TblItalian Seasoning
1tspGarlic Powder
1TblDried Parsley
1/2CupParmesan Cheese (grated)
2onions
2clovesGarlic (chopped)
3ozWhite Wine
O.5lbHamburger
1/2lbItalian Sausage
1packageWhole Pepperoni
(Meatballs)
Preparation
  1. In a large frying pan, brown hamburger and Italian sausage.
  2. While browning the meat, in a very large pot combine tomato products, a 28 oz can of water and bring to a simmer.
  3. To the tomato sauce add the sugar, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, dried parsley, grated Parmesan cheese and pepperonis and stir to combine.
  4. When the meats are browned and combined, add it to the simmer tomato sauce.
  5. To the pan that meats have browned in, add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and then add garlic for 30 seconds to one minute more.  
  6. Deglaze onion and garlic mixture with white wine.
  7. Pour onion/garlic mixture into the simmering tomato sauce and stir to combine.
  8. Simmer in very low heat all day with lid half on, stirring g she ever you walk past it.
  9. Prior to serving, remove the pepperoni and chop it up and return to the pot.  Also add meatballs, if using.
  10. Divide into containers holding 1 lb amounts to serve two people, freezing the rest of the containers.
