Simple marinade for whatever Bánh Mì protein you prefer (or have on hand). Works equally well with pork or chicken thighs.

1tspMaple Syrup

1/2tspSesame Oil
1cloveGarlic (minced)
1sliceGinger (minced)
1wholeGreen Onion (thinly sliced)

Preparation
Mix together all ingredients.
Add additional soy, sesame oil or a pinch of salt to taste.
Marinate protein (pork or chicken) for 15-30 minutes before cooking.
