Deep Fried Beer Battered Cod

We have tried and tried many times to make beer battered deep fried fish, but with limited success, until we made this recipe!  I used to leave the last piece of fish as it was not my favorite, now you will have to fight me for that last piece.  I also make a homemade tartar sauce and frozen plank French fries.

Sweet and Sour Shrimp

This is a wonderful sweet and spicy shrimp dish.  We make it with rice and our “crispies”.  Crispies are wonton skins brushed with 1T sesame oil, 1T chili oil and 1T water, then sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and kosher salt, then baked at 425F until lightly brown (they will continue to brown a little even after you take them out).

Adult Mac and Cheese

Lets face it-- since the "blue box" people removed the artificial ingredients from our beloved childhood staple, it has not been the same. That artificial cheesy flavor combined with a not-found-in-nature vivid yellow color that resembled a Nuclear reactor by-product was comfort in a box. Throw in a can of pre-made chili and it was college flashback time. With nostalgia ruined, it was time to make some adult mac and cheese.
